About the Gallery
Timothy Taylor is a modern and contemporary art gallery in Mayfair, London. Founded by Timothy Taylor in 1996, the gallery has developed a multi-generational roster of artists united by an interest in the history and legacy of post-war abstraction, including Sean Scully, Alex Katz, Kiki Smith, Josephine Meckseper, Eddie Martinez, Shezad Dawood, and others. The gallery also represents the estates of important modernist painters like Antoni Tàpies and Simon Hantaï. In addition to its exhibition program, the gallery has produced over twenty publications, including artist books and exhibition catalogues. In October 2007, the gallery opened a new 5,000-square-foot space at Carlos Place, Mayfair, designed by Eric Parry Architects. In 2016, Timothy Taylor launched a second space in New York, located in a townhouse in Chelsea. The New York space complements the gallery’s London programming with curated group and solo exhibitions on a domestic scale.

Serial is a reflection about time, about the re-signification, re-encounter, and re-production of images and stories, including concepts of possibility, control, and accidents.
"I'm interested in everything and nothing. This includes politics, astrophysics, or a toilet brush."
Guston, who would have been 102 this week, lives on in artwork so gruesome and squalid it makes every painter today look flimsy and effete.
