Independent will take place next year May 14-17, 2026 at a new home at Pier 36, a 70,000-square-foot, light-filled venue located adjacent to the Lower East Side gallery community and contemporary art institutions. The move will more than double the fair’s footprint, and position it strategically along the East Side of Manhattan.
Independent 20th Century, the show featuring new perspectives on both historically celebrated and under-recognized artists, announces that it will relocate in 2026 to the historic Breuer building, a Modernist landmark and the new headquarters of Sotheby’s in New York City. The fair will take place at its new venue located at 945 Madison avenue next fall, from September 24th to 27th, 2026.
