About the Gallery
King's Leap is a gallery based in Chinatown, New York. Founded in 2017, the gallery specializes in emerging art, spanning the mediums of painting, sculpture and conceptual art.

About the presentation
King’s Leap will dedicate a solo presentation to Magnus Maxine. Her conceptual yet craft-based practice uses newspapers as the substrate of paper pulp paintings which address themes of trauma, oppression, and labor. The resulting compositions feature obsessive grids and rhythmic tapestries that obscure article headlines, leaving behind only the dates of the newspapers. Her materials welcome the passage of time, acknowledging Maxine’s daily life alongside the pace of the rest of the world.
