About the Presentation
This group exhibition, presented by GAVLAK, brings together the works of Jose Alvarez, Rob Wynne, Lita Albuquerque, and Jessica Cannon, exploring the profound connections between cosmic energy and spirituality. Each artist approaches the cosmos not just as a physical entity, but as a vast, interconnected source of transcendental power and metaphysical insight.
Jose Alvarez, through his vibrant, dreamlike imagery, delves into the mysticism of the universe, inviting viewers to journey into realms beyond the visible. Rob Wynne’s swirling vortex sculptures embody the concept of spiritual flux, their reflective surfaces suggesting the infinite cycles of the cosmos and the dynamic nature of energy. Lita Albuquerque’s ethereal installations, often site-specific and tied to celestial alignments, conjure a deep sense of cosmic unity, urging viewers to reflect on our place within the larger universe. Finally, Jessica Cannon’s meditative works evoke a sense of stillness amidst the vastness, using geometric forms to channel cosmic forces and explore the intersection of matter and spirit.
Together, these artists offer an immersive experience that calls on the viewer to contemplate the invisible energies that connect us to the stars, the earth, and each other.
