About the Gallery
Danielian Galeria has two locations, one in Rio de Janeiro and another in São Paulo. Founded by brothers Luiz and Ludwig Danielian, the gallery first opened in Copacabana and, since 2019, has operated a 1200 m² space in Gávea. In 2024, it expanded to São Paulo with a new location on Rua Estados Unidos. The gallery maintains a strong presence in the Brazilian art scene, connecting artists, collectors, and the public both nationally and internationally.
The gallery originates from a collection built by its founders, drawing from the artistic legacy of their parents, with a focus on Brazilian art. The collection includes works by Tarsila do Amaral, Candido Portinari, Di Cavalcanti, Alfredo Volpi, Beatriz Milhazes, and Adriana Varejão, as well as a significant selection of Brazilian iconography. This collector background shapes the gallery’s approach and reinforces its commitment to promoting national artistic production.
About the Presentation
Galeria Danielian will present work by Odoteres Ricardo de Ozias in a solo presentation at Independent 20th Century. Odoteres Ricardo de Ozias, born in the countryside of Minas Gerais in the 1940s, lived in a series of societal changes that continue to resonate until today. His work didn’t receive significant recognition during his lifetime; one of the gallery’s objectives is to promote the work of the artist, expanding his presence in the art scene. His work has the potential to spark essential discussions—both in formal and subjective aspects —through his dedication to capture the essentials of mundane and spirituality research.
