About the Gallery
Opened in 2017 in the heart of the antique dealers’ district in Marseille (FRA), Double V Gallery aims to be a unique exhibition space where various forms of art, generations and diverse notabilities come together.
The gallery and its director, Nicolas Veidig-Favarel, support emerging and established artists from the French and international art scene who express themselves through a wide range of mediums and disciplines.
Driven by a pursuit of harmony between the artist’s conceptual or poetic approach and the notion of craftsmanship in the production process, the gallery makes a long-term commitment alongside the artists.
About the Presentation
Double V Gallery will present a series of bas-reliefs created during the Maximilien Pellet's residency at the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud. Installed in a linear sequence, these ceramics unfold like a contemporary frieze. Each piece marks a stage in an imaginary quest: the appearance of figures, fragments of architecture, and symbols to be deciphered. Together, they form a hybrid initiatory narrative, blending medieval mythology, speculative archaeology, and visual fictions borrowed from comic books and video games.
