About the Gallery
12.26 is a Dallas-based contemporary art gallery with a focus on emerging and mid-career artists. Co-founded by sisters Hannah Fagadau and Hilary Fagadau, 12.26 was created with the intention of offering a new international perspective to the Dallas gallery landscape.

About the Presentation
Julia Maiuri will make her New York debut in a solo presentation with 12.26, a first-time exhibitor at Independent. Maiuri’s voyeuristically intimate vignettes elucidate an unnerving frenzy of seductive energy, leaving a dreamlike imprint on the mind long after viewing. Wielding her brush like a camera, she scans her subjects with a ghostly presence, melting figures into their settings through superimpositions and layered dissolves. This technical trademark serves as a timely homage to filmic history and a reflection of our contemporary reality within a surveillance state.
