Voices on Art continues this week with an episode featuring Brazilian gallerist Thiago Gomide, a founding partner of Gomide&Co. He looks back on his start in the art world at the age of 20, when he founded a small gallery for modern Brazilian furniture in his hometown of Belo Horizonte, and on his involvement in creating the world-famous contemporary art center Inhotim with the collector Bernardo Paz. In 2013, Thiago co-founded his own gallery in São Paulo. He discusses the unique situation in Brazil, how he forged a path into international markets, and his personal ideas and approaches to support his community of artists and collectors into the future.
