Independent New York is pleased to announce its inaugural live program of talks and film screenings as part of the 15th anniversary edition of the fair, which returns this May 9-12 at Spring Studios in Tribeca.

Independent New York is pleased to announce further details of the participating artists for its 15th anniversary edition this May. Taking place from May 9 – 12 at Spring Studios in Tribeca, New York, the 2024 edition of the fair will feature works by more than 130 artists presented by more than 85 galleries and nonprofits, nominated by Independent’s founding curatorial advisor Matthew Higgs.

Independent 20th Century, which returns for its second edition September 7-10, 2023 in New York City and online, is pleased to announce a dynamic program of talks taking place during the fair. 

The great artists of the 20th century span genders and cultures even if female artists such as Mildred Thompson or Wanda Pimentel may not be as prominent in the public imagination as Willem de Kooning or Mark Rothko.

Independent 20th Century Returns to New York City for a Second Edition from September 7-10, 2023

Independent is pleased to announce the participants for the second edition of Independent 20th Century, a new fair dedicated to revising the canon of 20th Century art. The event will take place at the Battery Maritime Building at Cipriani South Street, New York, from September 7-10, 2023.

Independent, Phaidon, and Artspace are pleased to announce a new edition of 36 hand-colored lithographs by New York-based artist Jameson Green, to be released on May 11, 2023.

Independent New York returns for its 14th edition from May 11-14 in New York City and online. The highly anticipated fair features works by more than 120 artists and 74 galleries and nonprofits from around the world. Independent sits at the intersection of an art fair and a biennial, with exhibitors vetted through a competitive nomination process. Redwood Property Group and Independent are pleased to announce their renewed partnership to support the growing TriBeCa gallery community. The second Tribeca Gallery Walk is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 14th, from 12:00-5:00PM.

The fundraiser is another way for the fair to further its mission of supporting emerging artists, and to give back to White Columns and Higgs, who has served as both Director of White Columns and a curatorial advisor with Independent, which he helped co-found.

The inaugural walk was part tour experience and part festival of gallery programming, featuring over ten of the most important TriBeCa art and design galleries across generations.
